For our annual Memorial weekend camping trip we ventured North to the Mt Hood area and Frog Lake campground. My Mom and Misha joined us and the pups for a fun weekend exploring a new area for all of us.

On our first full day we took a long hike up to Twin Lakes. The 8 mile round trip hike wiped Winston out however, and he needed to be packed out haha! Luckily we discovered he fits perfectly in our flashpacks :).

On our second day the sun came out and we decided to go visit Timberline Lodge and take a walk at the base with the dogs. Link and Misha had a blast playing in the snow, quite the treat in late May!

When we got back to camp we setup our new Catan game, Stone Age, and conquered the globe with our settlements while the dogs enjoyed some quiet time as well.

My Mom and I bundled up in our gortex down "larva" jackets, which I hadn't sported since my winters in Wisconsin, and enjoyed a raging fire in camp.

It was a great family camping trip filled with lots of memories! Can't wait to return to the area for future camping and hiking adventures.
