The last week of August, Hans, the pups and I picked up our new travel trailer and headed West to enjoy some quality time with Jan and Brett at their lake house.

While we weren’t able to fully test out our new home on wheels during our stay, we enjoyed the awesome digs of the McKnight beach cabin overlooking Woahink Lake. We spent our days taking trips to the beaches of Florence and playing on the lake.

It was Link's first summer trip to the lake and Winston helped show him the ropes on the paddle board with Hans, and lounging on floaties with me. Loving water already, Link took to these daily adventures immediately!

Of course we parents had to have our own water adventures as well, and we enjoyed several days wake surfing in the mornings. As usual, Hans dominated the wake, definitely giving me something to work towards for our future summer lake visits!

After a full week at the lake, we packed up and headed down the Southern Oregon Coast to spend the Labor Day weekend camping with our Cosmic family of old family friends.

The scenery at Cape Blanco is beautiful, situated on a peninsula capped with a historic light house on the bluff and driftwood covered beaches.

We all enjoyed several days walking the beach and the bluff to the lighthouse, as well as relaxing in the sand and in our private group camp.

Overall it was a great way to cap off a memorable and relaxing week's vacation on the Coast. The pups and us both thoroughly enjoyed our fun-packed week; and, as always, are looking forward to more lake and beach trips in the near future!
