McKnight Family Trailer Trip to Sisters

For the first time since we each bought our own trailers, Hans' sister Macie, brother-in-law Luke, and their son Liam, joined us and Hans' parents for a family "camping" trip to Sisters, Oregon.

Jan and Brett showed us novices how to trailer camp in style, setting up a large communal patio in front of their airstream where we could all gather around their new propane firepit and enjoy the evenings relaxing together.

Our first morning all together Hans and I cooked breakfast for the group and had a special guest over when my longtime buddy, Carlos, joined us for a quick visit from his home in Bend.

After our relaxing morning the whole family set out to explore the surrounding area, first making a trip to the local fish hatchery where Liam loved seeing and feeding the large trout!

We all enjoyed the beautiful scenery along the Metolius River before grabbing a quick ice cream at the local store and heading back to camp for the evening.

Back at camp we enjoyed a variety of pizzas baked in our trailer toaster oven and mini box oven on our Coleman camp stove.

Hans got in a few more snuggles with Liam before bedtime and we all enjoyed a quiet family evening together.

It was a wonderful family trip and a great way to kick off the summer trailering season!
