Adventures at Seaside & Cape Disappointment

With Hans starting his new job as a Treasury Management Officer back at his old bank, Summit, the same day as my ankle surgery the following Monday, we decided to take a last minute mini vacation in the trailer to Seaside, Oregon.

Learning from our last trailer trip to Sisters with Hans' parents, we came equipped with a new firepit to enjoy under our awning, staying toasty and dry while cooking outside and relaxing as it drizzled on our first day.

After a relaxing morning in camp, we ventured out to explore the historic Cape Disappointment area along the Oregon-Washington border. Contrary to the name, the area did not disappoint!

With two lighthouses, a great Lewis & Clark Museum, and miles of bike paths and hiking trails, our day trip was not nearly enough time to explore all the area has to offer, and we will definitely be returning on a future trailer trip.

We took advantage of sunny weather the next day to tour the boardwalk and old town of Seaside, with me on scooter and Hans and the pups on foot.

We thoroughly enjoyed the arcades and games the Seaside old town has to offer, and hope to return with a child of our own someday for more family fun!

Of course after a long day of walking and playing in the sun, little Winston was very grateful his daddy brought the flashpack to carry him back to camp, where we snuggled in for our last night of a great little vacation. We will most definitely be planning more trailer trips to the area in the near future!
